City Taking Comment on Proposal to Rename Park in Tom Sullivan's Honor

A proposal to rename the soccer field at Glenwood Park “Sullivan Field at Glenwood Park” in honor of Coach Tom Sullivan has been submitted to the City.

A group of several individuals representing former soccer players, parents of former soccer players, the Defiance Rugby Club, neighbors and friends desire to rename the field located at Glenwood Park “Sullivan Field at Glenwood Park” in honor of Coach Tom Sullivan, who was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

In accordance with the City of Glenwood Springs Parks and Recreation Park Naming Policy, the group has prepared a proposal to rename the soccer/rugby field located at Glenwood Park “Sullivan Field at Glenwood Park.”

The Parks and Recreation Commission will be taking public comment on the proposal through May 11, 2017. Please call 970-384-6315.
