City of Glenwood Springs Lifts Fire Restrictions Effective at 12:01 a.m. on July 30, 2021.
GLENWOOD SPRINGS, CO – Due to recent rains and cooler temperatures, the City of Glenwood Springs will join Garfield County in lifting fire restrictions, effective at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, July 30, 2021.
The City of Glenwood Springs would like to thank residents and visitors for their cooperation this summer during a heightened fire danger season. Although the restrictions have been lifted, continue to exercise caution when using outdoor fires including open fires, campfires, and all other situations that involve open flames in a public or private area. The use of fireworks in City limits and Garfield County is prohibited until November, even without fire restrictions in place.
Conditions may change throughout the summer. Always check for the latest, local fire restrictions before igniting.
Temporary Ban on Use of Private Fireworks
Effective April 23, 2021
Effective April 23, 2021, there is a temporary ban on the private use of fireworks as that term is defined in Section 110.020.150(a) of the Glenwood Springs Municipal Code for the immediate public peace, health, safety and
welfare of the citizens of Glenwood Springs. This Administrative Order shall be in effect until November 1, 2021.
