Glenwood Springs to Host Groundbreaking for Downtown Recycling Center

Recycling Center Proposal

The City of Glenwood Springs invites the public to participate in a groundbreaking ceremony at 11am on Monday, Oct. 19, for the new Downtown Recycling Center near the Rio Grande Trail at 13th Street.

The project is funded in part by a $149,600 Recycling Resources Economic Opportunity (RREO) grant.

CONE ZONE: Sayre Park Construction Continues

Cone Zone

Phase 1 Sayre Park improvements are continuing the week of October 12, 2020 as part of the Sayre Park Master Plan.

The work includes temporary relocation of utility lines in preparation for demolition and construction of a new basketball court and installation of ADA compliant paths. This phase of the project will also include new stairs to the ballfield.

Leaf Drop-Off in Glenwood Springs 10/12-11/15

Now through November 15, residents of Glenwood Springs can drop off their fallen leaves at the old rodeo grounds, adjacent to the Airport.

The service is free but is only open to residents of Glenwood Springs. The collection site is not available for use by commercial operators. Leaves can be dropped off at any time of day.
